Then Clemente traced buyers who would deliver them through the south, and Galante was the head of checking for frauds. Luciano and La Cosa Nostra made big from it
Luciano, Angelo Galante, Rodrigo Marcone, Ezio Clemente, Antonio Vercetti, and Leonardo Genna were the mafia commission who controlled the south. They had main drug shipment operations manufacturing cocaine and heroin, profits financed all of them with Luciano's Cuban connection Vitone Scaletta managing the trade network being large scale.
All the Vice City mafia families are gone now, Rodrigo Marcone was the last don to survive before he was killed during a raid at his mansion. The streets are a war zone conflict now, smaller independent factions keep pushing each other back for territory since none of the gangs can keep peace. The drug network controls them, it finances the sets.
The Marcones captured Angelo's enforcer Leonardo Galante to find where the don went, but he was not pressured into talking with them. This Leonardo figure was shipped up north to Liberty City next to Lucky Luciano to have him interrogate him, he managed to blow up the warehouse and escape to Chicago. No one seen his presence since them.
Many enemies wanted Angelo Galante assassinated for years after he wiped out the Luciano Commission in Vice City back in 2007. He disappeared leaving different leads across the country, but eventually one of his own enforcers started to give him out. After five years taking down San Fierro's mafia families, La Cosa Nostra knew they were next.
The war was caused after Vitone found out he was being used to target Angelo Galante wo was a secret ally to him, Vernarios knew they could use a figure who was anonymous to find the guy. But after they were threatening to kill him next, Vitone escaped and now he wants an official end to the inner circle of connections scattered around.
The assault failed, but we aren't gonna let the corruption take over La Cosa Nostra. The next opportunity to hit them hard is the war coming on this afternoon, a capo named Vitone Scaletta challenged the Vernarios to a mob war in East Los Santos. Apparently this Scaletta was responsible for Angelo's assassination, he was used to get close to him.
We make moves on La Cosa Nostra tonight, the corruption is crippling their grip on power and that's our pin point to hit them hard. The assault will start with a team of agents making a false deal with the Vernarios enforcers, then an air strike force will ambush them from the skies. After they are down, message will get out enemies are coming.
