Whoever you are. Wherever you are. If you're reading this. Jesus died for YOU! He was in heaven, in glory with the Father and came down here to live in squalor for YOU. He lived a sinless live to be an example for YOU. Jesus was hit, spit on, whipped, stripped of flesh, fitted with a crown of thorns, and carried a cross for YOU!
3 days later he came out of that tomb with the keys to hell and death, declaring victory over them for YOU! This is the free gift of God to all who would turn to Him and believe in His son whom He sent. Today is the day of salvation, choose this day whom you will serve.
He was hung on that same cross by his hands and his feet, suffocating for you. Jesus used what strength his body had left to lift himself up, to take in enough breath to ask forgiveness for you. It wasn't his sins he was paying for, he had none; it was yours. He died on that cross, was pierced in his side and placed inside a tomb for you.
And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
