the coordinate plane features the axis y and x. the quadrants are quadrant 1, 2, 3 and 4. the midle of the coordinate plane is called the origin. for example, if you did (4, 6) you would go to the right 4 times, and go up 6 times. if the question is (-4, 6) you would go to the left 4 times, then up 6 times. the math isnt really that hard.
